This just in- snakes can fly and they can help us design robots?! Scientists often model robots off of human movements, but they haven't quite nailed the gliding motions of animals. Flying snakes undulate side to side and create lift to propel them from the ground to tree branches. This motion might be able to be applied to mechanical movements and improve robots.
