Conservation efforts to save some of the last wetlands of Vietnam

Located in the Tan Hung District of Vietnam, the Lang Sen Wetland Nature Reserve was created in 2004. It is nearly 2,000 hectares (about 5,000 acres) and is a critical wetland habitat. It is a mix of marshes, grasslands, and forests that flood seasonally. This reserve has become a restoration project, headed by IUCN, PAN and CP Group. Scientists are calculating how much carbon the forest here can capture.

Learn more about how this project can potentially enter the tradable carbon credit market: https://www.iucn.org/story/202301/iucn-pan-cp-partnership-forest-restoration-piloting-possibility-enter-tradable-carbon
