Since the ice ages, the Eastern Tiger salamander has lived in the mid-Atlantic. Today, it is listed as endangered in Virginia due to deforestation. Herpetologist J .D. Kleopfer and his team at the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources are trying to bring it back.
