Chytrid fungus is decimating populations of frogs

Chytrid fungus, also known as Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd), is fatal to frogs since they have porous skin. A postdoc at the University of Florida is researching this fungus. Instead of looking at the frogs themselves she is "looking instead at what genes the fungus was expressing on the skins of different amphibian species with varying susceptibility to Bd."
